Day 1: Nyakalengija (1,615m) to Nyabitaba (2,651m) Distance: Approximately 8 kilometers

Upon arrival at the park gate , you will be welcomed by our park authorities to the mountain , after briefing and introduction of the guides and entire team the guides , the porters and rangers . You will then head out into the lush forests led by the guides, they will tell you about all the different species of the the flora and fauna that survive I the mountains. The lush forests are also a home to different animals like the colobus ,monkeys , three horned chameleon among the many . Further up as you walk you will encounter rivers like Mubbuku. Continue the walk enjoying the ascent which draws you Nyabitaba camp finally a hut on the central circuit that will be your home for the night on this your first night of the 5days Rwenzori hike to Bujjuku. The camp offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes among which are the portal peaks .

Day 2: Nyabitaba (2,651m) to John Matte (3,414m) Distance: Approximately 12 kilometers

After a hearty breakfast , you will set out from Nyabitaba led by your guides . You will walk to the magical Kurt Schaffer Bridge crossing the confluence of river Bujjuku. The path continues with challenging terrains with a steep ascent that leads you to the bamboo zone of the Rwenzori mountains a very unique zone with bamboo trees. Marvel at the changing scenery from dense forests to the bamboo trees. You will walk further enjoying the unique and stunning environment . Day 3: John Matte (3,414m) to Bujuku (3,977m) Distance: Approximately 7 kilometers

You will wake up the roaring rapids of River Bujjuku in the very calm atmosphere , todays trek is a bit shorter as compared to the past few days. The trek starts with an adventurous walk through lower bigo bog after crossing the Bujjuku river ,here you will see the giant lobelias in the swamp its an incredible view of the cast huge swamp. Further up you will enjoy the breath taking views of the upper bigo bog which is characterized with the giant groundsels. The Lake Bujjuku welcomes you to the Bujjuku valley that offers incredible views of the 3 major peaks of Mount Speke, Mounts Stanley and Mount Baker. After hustling through the tussocks, you will check in at Bujjuku camp also known as the heart of Rwenzori mountain which is also the final destination for your 5 Days Rwenzori hike to Bujjuku .

Day 4: Bujuku (3,977m) to Nyabitaba (2,651m) Distance: Approximately 19 kilometers

Following an early breakfast , you will descend back from Bujjku camp, today you will be spending a night at Nyabitaba the the very first camp which you spend the first night. Tracing the previous

footsteps led by your guide embark on a walk through the swamp of Lake Bujjuku then to the upper bigo bog after the short board walk. Continue from the Alpine zone to the forested zone passing via John Matte long River Bujjuku. After sometime you will reach Nyabitaba where you will be spending your last night in the mountain.
