Rwenzori Trekking Permits
Hiking Permit: The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) issues hiking permits for access to Rwenzori Mountains National Park. In addition to helping with the park’s conservation efforts, this permit is mandatory.
Fees: The entrance charge to the park is UGX 250,000 for nationals of East Africa, USD 25 for foreign residents, and $35 for non-citizens. There is a 50 USD fee for non-residents, a 40 USD fee for foreign residents, and a 50,000 UGX fee for East African citizens to get a hiking permit in the Rwenzori Mountains.
Advance Booking: Because there is a daily cap on the number of permits issued, it is imperative that you apply for your permission at least one month in advance, particularly during busy seasons.
